Barter System

19 Aug

“If the world worked on a barter system, how would you fare? Would you have services to barter? Would you be successful, or would you struggle?”

Tammy and I would fare very well in a barter system work in a variety of ways. We both work in Jewelry and that may seem frivolous and in many ways it is but there are always people that want pretty baubbles as well as the fact that the skills required for pretties work for very functional items. Take out chain maille: We have the skills to make wire, form it into many shapes, hardening skills and this all can be used for household maintenance and survival skills. We have tools and equipment that is not widely available that take skill and knowledge.

Beyond our business, Tammy works well with growing things and Tina is good at medicinal uses as well as food use and storage of these.

We can sew, weave, and card fibers although we do not uses these skills currently for business we could.

The hardest part for us would actually placing value on our skills and those of others but that is something we would be more than capable of adapting to as a skill set.
